Olive pit

I clearly remember the moment that inspired this piece. I was snacking on green olives and left the pit of an olive on the side of my plate. After a few minutes, I could see vein-like patterns on the olive pit. Once in a while, we should slow down and really look into our reality to realize interesting and beautiful things awaiting to be discovered.

I put my hand on the paper and outlined it with marker. I drew the pit in the palm of my hand enlarged, almost as big as an egg, to emphasize its patterns. The plants in the background were inspired from local vegetation.
